Air conditioner installation
Got a 2007 Ranger - no AC. None. zip. it came that way. Ford doesn't make the kits - and hardly anyone I talk to wants to take it on - not even the big dealer right here in Austin Texas.

The consensus is that, adding A/C to your vintage Ranger is cost-prohibitive.

If you want something done right, do it yourself. At least that was the motto back when.
If you have reasonable skills, you can do the installation in about a day. You'd then have to have the hose fittings crimped and the system evacuated & charged.
As noted, the dash would have to be dropped to install the evaporator. The picture of the kit did not show a new plenum, so maybe the old one had provision for air?
ackits.net has Ranger kits. If you have the 2.3, a kit lists for $873. I didn't search for other engines.
