I was wondering what is the difference between a 6 volt heavy duty commercial battery VS a 6 volt deep cycle?
Will the heavy duty battery work as well for RV & SOLAR use?
I found a couple of Exides at Tractor Supply with like 1170 cranking amps with 300 amp reserve. 975 cold cranking amps $99 ea.
Thoughts???

Plates are heavier in a deep cycle battery and handle discharges/recharges better. Batteries designed for starting have thinner plates to increase plate to acid contact area producing more current more rapidly. If it is for your RV, buy the deep cycle. They will outlast batteries designed for starting.
