1986 F250 4x4 components on F150 frame

Couldn't find the answer on searching. Have a 86 F250 4x4 351, C-6, single cab, 8' bed. The cab is shot, bed gone. Picked up a 86 F150 2wd cab, 8'bed, was 302 EFI. Engine, trans, front clip are gone. I have to swap a couple of cross members anyway so I was wondering if the basic frame/rails would be the same. The F150 is a NC vehicle and the frame is mint compared to the F250 frame. I know spring hangers/ perches etc would have to be swapped.
Thanks for any input.

From what I understand the F250 frames are thicker and the front of them is a bit different. If you have the D44 version of the TTB why not run the coil spring F150 setup and convert to 8-lugs with some GM parts. There's a sticky in the How-To section I believe. You'd have to get the F250 4x4 beams but that's not that hard. I'm just outside Philly and if you can't find the beams I have a set. I don't really want to let them go, but I would to a FTE member to aid a project.

EDIT: Ok, it was on FSB... Dana 44 8 lug swap with pictures

I've got the F250 4x4 on the rusty frame. The frame I was thinking about using is a F150 frame 2wd. If the front of the frame is different between 2 and 4 wd, I guess it won't work easily. Have to start taking measurements. Was hoping it might just be a matter of changing cross members.

I don't think they're too different, but I'm not sure. I think the 2wd Fx50 trucks are all the same basically and there are plenty of guys that do leaf conversions on 2wd F250/350's. From what I understand the F150 4x4 TTB axle stuff bolts right up.

There are quite a few differences between a 2wd F150 frame and a 4wd F250 frame...

2wd F150

3/16"
2.5" rear leaf springs
coil spring front end

4wd F250
1/4"
3" rear leaf springs
leaf spring front end

Thanks Brad. Parts of the F250 frame are about 1/8" thick. I have enough good parts to convert the back end to 3" springs. Wasn't sure about the front though. All these years and never got around to playing with 4x4's.
