1 )I am getting a 1986 f250 thats not extended cab or anything like that and i will need to get a new bed, drivers side door, both front fenders, and tailgate and i was wondering if anyone could tell me a place or places that sell strong body panels and parts. THANKS in advance
2 ) I am also looking into a lift for my new truck and i have been told that the IFS will not allow large tires . I was wondering if anyone could tell me how i could clear at least 40's please even if it meant getting a different front axle. if it came to that could you also tell me what axle(s) to get.
Can't help ya on the body panels...but on the lift I would say a Skyjacker (they work best for the Fords) and I would not do a body lift....they look bad. As one of my friends once told me...."Embrace the sawzall....as it is good" CUT IT BABY...CUT IT!
BTW....go up to the person who told you that IFS will not allow for large tires, they are idiots...I have a 6" skyjacker on mine with the IFS and I am running 40" Ground Hawgs
but you can interchange all of them as long as you do the whole grille or front end area. Most bolt holes and such are still the same, the hoods differ slightly too, to match each styles contours.
If you are looking for true Ford OEM parts or hard to find parts http://www.dennis-carpenter.com/ will prolly have them. They are a lil pricey but you can't find very many genuine parts other than the factory any more.
