I'm pretty sure this has been asked and I've looked and looked but I could not find a for sure answer I was wanting to know if the 10 1/8 baby moons would fit on a ford outie 15" rims
I was gonna buy the summit moons but if they will not work I'll just go with a full 15" moon it would still look good and give it that over all effect thanks guys
I bought a set of 10 1/8 from Summit and bent the crap out of the first one trying to get it on. I returned the other three.
Im using a set of what I was told are 67 Fairlane caps, I think I saw a post somewhere that they were also used on 67 F100s. Not!
There are two different diameters of these hubcaps, neither is listed for F100's, one for an obvious reason, since it's only 9 1/4."

Right lower: 1964/72 truck & Econoline hubcaps & wheel covers = TYPE 2: 1965/66 F100 10 1/4" O.D. /Type 5 wheel cover optional for F100 2WD/4WD beginning in 1966, used thru 1977.
Same wheel covers were standard equipment for 1967/77 Bronco's. 4WD wheel cover, instead of the emblem, has a red plastic ring to allow the hub to poke thru.
A couple of years ago while searching a wrecking yard, I came across a 65 long bed recently put down for us vulture's to devour. Seeing how I was first to get to the truck, I stripped it as much as possible.
But what caught my eye were the "Hubcaps" I never saw these on a slick.
I know these are 54-55 Mercury hubcaps 15" but on a slick they just looked badass, at least to me.
Full wheel covers look nice, on the right build.
1965/66 F100 "outie" hubcaps are 10 1/4" diameter.
Since when did '65 F 100's come with "outie" hubcaps? I am assuming is purely off your parts books, not based in reality. All '65 F 100's came with "innie" wheels. Its that pesky Econoline van hubcap that's got you confused again. Ford made a mistake in '65 using the C5TZ instead of C5UZ for these "white and red trim" painted "galaxie style" hubcaps. The '65 Econoline "galaxie style" "white with red trim" hubcap was offered in two versions the 9 1/2" and 10 1/4" for vans with standard 13" wheels and optional larger 14" wheels. This "white and red trim" painted "galaxie style" hubcap was never used on '65 or '66 F 100's. 1966 was the only year the "galaxie style" hubcap was used on F 100's ( due to new outie wheel), it was 10 1/4" and only available in "argent silver with red trim"(which was given correct C6TZ) or in stainless steel with black trim. We can go to where the truth lies.........or lie about the truth.
You have no Ford parts catalogs, zero Ford part experience, so how do you know what's correct and what ain't?
I have history on my side. And have proven it several times on this forum on different occasions. You have a habit of disappearing from the thread when the documentation is presented. Here is another cause of your confusion. In 1965, Ford also came out with a new paint scheme for the old Type 1 innie hubcap. Yep, you guessed it, white with red letters. This hubcap has the correct C5TZ number. This "innie" white with red letters hubcap was used as well as the argent silver "innie" hubcap in '65. The Type 1 innie hubcap was also used in 1966 when an optional carryover wheel was ordered, 15" 2 piece or 17.5" 1 piece.
