Upside down shock? Help!
Yo!
The Bilstein rear shocks... does the strut boot mount from the bottom of top.. The front shocks have the piston armature top ans the strut boot bottom.
I'm pulling a brain freeze here i the So. FLa heat.

Upside down shock? Help!
It does not matter. I have installed my Rancho 9000's upside down ie: boot down to have less weight on the axle. This is known as unsprung weight distribution. Even though they do not weight that much, every little bit helps. And besides they look pretty cool.

They are great. Just wish I had quads in the rear the same as the front. With the 6" lift, the rear of the Bronco seems to sway to much where the front is planted solid. On a turn at 35mph the front is level without any lean. One day I'll get them. On the 4th I blew out my driveshaft. The u-joint wore right through the double cardan so I had to replace the whole driveshaft and then added HD u-joints. That won't happen again. Good luck with the shocks
