She wanted to thank you all for the flowers and said they were very beautiful and she appreciated them.
Paul passed away from injuries sustained in a 4 wheeler accident.
He was with his son doing what he loved at the time.
He was in the hospital for 13 days fighting hard but passed away May 28.
Thanks to Pauline for letting Darren know what took our friend and thanks to Darren for sharing. I really appreciate it. I will pray for all of them...
Thanks for reaching out to her Darren! Given the nature of Paul's last post here, I had suspected that his death may be related to his 4 wheeling trip with his son, but I didn't feel it appropriate to speculate publicly. When the time comes, going out while doing something that you enjoy is far better than fighting a lingering illness like cancer or anything else that would just rob your quality of life.

Please send some prayers Pauline's way.
God bless
I bet a lot of us suspected it, but were afraid to say it. At least (as others have said), he went out doing what he loved, with someone he loved.
Thank you for the update Darren.
I appreciate at least knowing what happened and glad you got permission to tell us. Out of respect, I know a lot of us wouldn't ask or speculate. I am also happy that you got to relay our appreciation for Paul to his wife.
RIP Paul - You will always be missed, especially here.
Darren, thanks for the follow up. Closure is important for healing.
Matt, you and I must have had the same feelings. I too felt there was something related to the four wheeler trip he spoke of. Sad
Paul spoke highly of his wife and son often. We could all tell he loved his family. Andre, you are right, nothing we do can prepare us for the loss of our family. I pray for healing in Paul's family. Hope his son is holding up well.
I always liked the tractor picture the most because it reminded me of the one my dad gave me. It was a 1948 Ford 8N. Paul and I talked about it once. The motorcycle one is my next favorite. I recall the conversation with Paul about his trip to Sturgis for the Rally. Good memories. That's what life is made of.
