Hi. I will apologizes now for any newbieness to my question. I have a 1977 Ford F100 Ranger XLT with a 6 foot bed. I'm currently looking for wheel opening molding (racing trim) for the left side. It's suppose to be silver with with a black vynle inset. Does anyone know where I can find such a part? Either a website that deals in this sort of thing or anything. Thanks in advance for any help provided.
Well it's my understanding that it's called race track trim. The part that I need is just the part that goes over the wheel well. It fits a few inches above the wheel well itself. It fits from the door to the right near the tail light. Sorry if this seems kind of vague. Thanks for the replies.
Yes it does Greg, thanks for the pic. So what exactly is that part called (for future reference)? In any case yes that is the part I'm looking for except the one I'm looking for has a black inset. Thanks a lot for your help.
The racetrack chrome refers to the lower trim that runs from the rear side marker light, along the fenderwell up to just behind the cab, along the bottom part of the door > front fender and connects up at the front side marker light on the fender.
The rubber inserted chrome comes in two designs.
Directly from front side marker light to rear side marker light
Or
with a special chrome piece to connect to the racetrack chrome.
The racetrack chrome was used for Two-tone colored trucks to seperate the colors.
The regular chrome usually went on mono-coloured trucks.
It's the first one (racetrack chrome), I have a two toned truck. I need it for the left side (drivers side). Thanks Mil1ion and the rest of you guys for all your help.
