I have a 94 F250 351w standard that Im looking to swap my independent front suspension front axle to a solid axle. My truck is bone stock. I was just wondering how big of a job it would be to do? Obviously i need a solid front axle to start off with, but what else would I need to go about doing this swap. Will i need new leaf springs? And what gear ratio should the axle be for a stock transmission? And how exactly do I do this swap, I have a good idea id just like to here how to do it from someone that has done it before ... Any help and advice is much appreciated ... THANKS
it is a pretty straight forward swap. just get everything associated with the axle. you can use your front springs, but the F-350 springs will give you a smoother ride.
to do the swap you will need the following:
front axle that matches the gear ratio in the truck.
front springs.
front track bar and mount.
ALL steering linkage.
front driveshaft.
rear lift blocks to level the truck.
