Unhappy I'm Sorry

I switched to the darkside I guess you could say.

I originally purchased my V10 to pull my Mustang around. Seven months after I got it I married the woman that rode with me to go get it and inherited a little one that now isn't so little anymore. Then we got rid of her 4runner that she had driven for 10 years and got her a Mustang that she had always wanted (in the picture above). Then we got the travel trailer and started pulling that around everywhere. Then we realized we had nothing with a decent size back seat for long trips. My "baby F350" has done everything I ever hoped it would (and then some) but it simply refuses to grow a larger back seat So we had to replace her.

And since the geniuses at Ford decided to stop offering the mighty V10, I had to go diesel. I don't thing the V8 would make me happy, and with the current rebates/discounts, it's almost like getting the diesel engine for free.

Here she is in Savannah Georgia last year

And at Cumberland Falls a couple of weeks ago on what was probably her last voyage

She also took the travel trailer to Milwaukee WI, Destin FL, and Memphis TN, with a bunch of shorter trips in between. I'm surrounded by mountains and she never made me mad climbing any of them.

It's hard to believe that it has already been close to FIVE YEARS that I've had that truck. I guess time flies when you love your vehicle. Which is the reason I justified getting a new truck versus another used one (I never buy a "new" vehicle). If this new one does me as good, it will be with me til death do us part....fingers crossed.

Anyway, THANK YOU to all on here that post stuff, I don't say much (tho I'm long winded when I do speak) but I lurked a ton and this section has been great for me over the last 5 years. I guess I need to move over to the evil diesel section now and lurk there.

And if anyone is interested, I didn't trade my baby in, she's sitting in the garage now, send me a message...

Yeah I was "fearing" the worse too---thought you'd totally abandoned the Blue Oval for a Tundra etc?! Good news though---still a Ford owner!

Despite your defection perhaps your past experiences with the V10 could be helpful to others even now? Keep lurking and pop in when you feel its appropriate---I know others will appreciate it.

BTW nice looking rigs!
