2000 Ford Ranger XLT
My 2000 Ford Ranger will not start. When I turn the key I can hear the fuel pump. Sometimes it starts and sometimes it wont. It is definitely not the battery. I have replaced the alternator brushes that worked for about a week and a half and now it is back to not starting again. Does anyone have any suggestions. I am new here. Please help.

Welcome to FTE.
I'm not clear on the "won't start sometimes", are you saying the starter cranks the engine ok, but the engine won't run, or are you saying the starter won't crank the engine????
Do you have a lit CEL, if so, scan the computer for trouble codes & post All code Numbers, as they can yield good trouble shooting clues.
