Hey guys,
just installed my clear cab light covers. i think they look pretty good. replaced bulbs with amber bulbs. it's definately a must if you install clear corners/signal lights. anyway, i have a few pics of them in my gallery; check it out under clear light covers.
hey nice lookin truck! wat are the differences between the acetoned badges and the stock ones? and what does a v10 sound like through a 40series? i bet its mean!

Mark - that look is killer on a black truck! I bet the night pix will be awesome. I prob. can't touch that look w/ my white truck, but it sure looks good on darker colors! Thx. for sharing the pix!
I've read about treating the badges with acetone, but have a few questions. Can you do it while the badges are still mounted or should they be off first? Are the badges polished after treatment? What is used to remount the badges back on to the truck? I will certainly try doing this, it looks great on the pics. I love do-it-yourselfer projects.

I did my badges while they were still on my truck. It took all of about 10 minutes and 5 dollars to do all three, but for some reason most people don't do it the way I did it. I did both my 2002 and my brothers 2003 with no damage to the paint. Yes, they are polished chrome after you get done.
Where did you pick up your clear corners at? By the way, I love those cab lights.....Going to order some here after I come home from leave!! Nice Job! Where did you get the bulbs from?
I got the clear signal/corners from ProCarParts.com($25) Brand New, but I actually ordered through Ebay. Ordering from ebay was about 6 dollars cheaper. Saved the shipping charge! I ordered the clear cab lights from Stillen.com and bought the amber bulbs at AutoZone. OEM part number 194.

How loud is the flow master 40 inside the truck. I have a excursion and tow; I want the performance and the sweet sound but don't need to go crazy after 8 hours towing a camper. I will just replace the muffler and weld a tip on.
Thanks
Well, the 40 series inside my crew cab has a moderate to loud resonance but only around 40-45 mph or so. I'm sure it would be louder inside an Excursion. You might want to try a 70 series for 50 series delta flow.
