three questions

first what is this i found it tucked under my dash.

<a href="http://s1280.photobucket.com/user/Ss27gogeta/media/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_20140526_125837_390_zps295d2a52.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1280.photobucket.com/albums/a482/Ss27gogeta/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_20140526_125837_390_zps295d2a52.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_20140526_125837_390_zps295d2a52.jpg"/></a>

<a href="http://s1280.photobucket.com/user/Ss27gogeta/media/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_20140526_125848_687_zps5a484594.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1280.photobucket.com/albums/a482/Ss27gogeta/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_20140526_125848_687_zps5a484594.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_20140526_125848_687_zps5a484594.jpg"/></a>

<a href="http://s1280.photobucket.com/user/Ss27gogeta/media/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_20140526_125857_424_zps0cfd092c.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1280.photobucket.com/albums/a482/Ss27gogeta/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_20140526_125857_424_zps0cfd092c.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_20140526_125857_424_zps0cfd092c.jpg"/></a>

second question dose the bed sides on a stepside bead unbolt and come off or is it welded together.

And third how hard is it to pull the cab off. i will have the front clip removed soon for my 12v cummins swap. and was curios how hard it would be to take it off and paint the frame. since it will be the only thing left on the frame the bead will be off as well. to access the gas tank easier so is there much more to remove the cab or should i just leave it thanks.

I believe that's the mount for the microphone for the factory CB radio.
Not a 100% sure but I think the bedsides bolt together, I'm more Styleside than Flareside.
Pulling the cab isn't difficult. Basically disconnect the steering column, brake lines, e-brake cable. Unplug wiring harnesses. Unbolt the four cab mounts and lift. The regular cab, all stripped down to a bare cab shell (no doors, interior, glass, dash, etc.) weighs 317 lbs.

1. No idea, mikeo0o0o0 or ND should chime in with the answer.
2. Yes I think so, I have seen them separate from the bed.
3. Lots of work to just to get access to paint the frame.

But its doable and now is the time to do it since it sounds like the rest if off. Make it lighter to make it easier. Scribe the door hinges where they on the cab, before you remove them. And leave them on the doors.

Use REAL 2" wide HD ratchet straps note those sketcky things in the 2nd and 3rd pic. Remember things like hard brake lines, e brake cable, wiring ect.... great time to really clean and undercoat and repair the front cab mounts is necessary, it once it off.

The last pic is a great way to lift a bed.

<a href="http://s1280.photobucket.com/user/Ss27gogeta/media/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_20140526_160141_834_zpsfbddf357.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1280.photobucket.com/albums/a482/Ss27gogeta/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_20140526_160141_834_zpsfbddf357.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_20140526_160141_834_zpsfbddf357.jpg"/></a>

and if you can see the hole below it on the plastic piece. there is another hole to the left of it. looked like some thing at one time was mounted to it.

Not really sure what they're worth. Like they say, something is only worth what someone else is willing to pay for it.
I know there are quite a few parts that go with the factory install and the "holy grail" is the CB/radio antenna.
There are two different versions, one is CB/monaural radio and the other is CB/stereo.

This is from the Ford parts catalog. The illustrations show what you need for a complete factory CB installation.

That's the D8VY-18B806-A Chassis and transmitter. It still has the D8TZ-18B828-A Cover in place.
This piece is shown on page two of the .pdf tagged 18B806 and 18B828.

The microphone is p/n D84Y-18B804-A. I did a search, there are three microphones still available. Unfortunately all three are at the same dealership, Bob Allen in Parsons, KS. This dealership has a terrible reputation when it comes to pricing obsolete parts. If you want to take a deep breath and call them, the number is (913) 381-3000(913) 381-3000.
The antenna is D8TZ-18813-B. I couldn't locate any dealer or obsolete supplier that has one. The mast screws into the base. If you still have the CB antenna base then a CB mast from an Econoline or passenger car would work. It's the base that's different between the antennas.Call
