Need to replace rear tank fuel pump but, don't want to remove tank, I want to lift the bed up, I know to remove bolts, wiring, fuel hoses & brackets, any thing else?
The pump went out about nine month ago with about ten gallons of gas still in it, what's the best way to handle this?

Just did this a few days ago on my 88 F150. Like Brad said just take off the bolts for the bed and filler necks, take the clamps off the frame, and disconnect the wiring harness for the brake lights and you are good to go.
Just had a friend help lift it onto a 2x4 so it didn't rest on the tires so I could get to my front tank. To get to the rear one you'll probably need to take it all the way off in which case another person or two would be helpful.
If you have a tree handy, just rig straps to each corner of the bed, run them up to a come-along attached to a sturdy tree branch, and pick the bed up.
Now that would have come in handy. Where inside the bed is the bobcat catching?
edit: nevermind, I assume it is beneath, just looks like it is in the bed from the pic.
I cut two boards to the correct length to span across the bed beneath the bed rail, which allowed me to pick it up with the forks.

Thanks. It was a rust free bed, but it did receive a bit of work and a SS paint job before swapping it on. I replaced the cab corners, floors, rear bumper, and front fender at the same time.
I'll be doing the same with my 1995 F350 this weekend. Aim is to replace a leaky rear gas tank which has a hole in it. What else should I consider doing/inspecting with the bed off? Would like to take advantage of having the bed off to get to the hard stuff easier. I also plan to POR 15 the bed, underside of the bed and possibly some chassis parts if I have enough left over.
before i got the gantry crane, i used to use a cherry picker and a little frame i made to fit in the bed.
i took 3 8 foot 4X4's.cut two to fit inside the bed from side to side, and one 7 1/2 foot long.
then drilled the cross beams and using 7 inch lag bolts and a washer, i pu tone on each end of the 7 1/2 footer. leave the cross beams just loose enough so you can swivel them. set the rig in the bed, and hook the cherry picker to the center of the 7 1/2 footer with a wrapped chain.
then lift the bed off with the cherry picker. once high enough, drive the truck forward.
