I tuned my 2010 6.4 with a Spartan 40hp (lowest they offer) DPF delete, EGR off tune. Replaced the factory exhaust with a downpipe-back exhaust. Added an AirDog II fuel filter/pump to replace the factory lift pump.
I believe that encompasses the basic modifications that will reduce the biggest risks of premature engine failure on the 6.4L trucks (oil dilution and fuel system failures).
But no matter what you may decide to do to your truck in the way of mods, the absolute best thing you can do to improve reliability and longevity of these trucks is to become **** about maintenance. Watch your oil level and get an analysis when you change your oil (Blackstone labs is good). Drain the water out of your lift pump water separator weekly or at least monthly.
Lot of posts on this forum and members who will chime in on what to watch for.
Good luck.
