I recently bought a 79' Ford truck and it has a 351w that someone has dropped in it. I know for a fact that it has sat for at least 8 years. Needless to say it has a lot of junk and crude buildup. My brother and I got it running STRONG. It's a good running engine. We put about 1/3 can of SeaFoam in the oil and the rest in the gas. Let it run for several minutes and started to change the oil. We noticed the oil was milky and there was a clear liquid coming out before the oil and then after the oil some of the same clear liquid was coming out. More than the amount of SeaFoam. There wasnt a drop of water on the dipstick. Im thinking its a head Gasket. what do you think ? If it is how much does it cost to have the heads milled and intake possibly ? Any info would be awesome.
check for oil in the coolant and bubbles surfacing in the radiator filler neck with cap off .. Did the motor show any signs of wanting to overheat once you had it at operating temp ?
No it didn't show any signs that I observed but ill check out the radiator tomorrow. It just baffles me how there isnt water on the dipstick and it runs without noticeable overheating.
We really don't know anything about the motor of where it was before being put in the current truck and whether it was ever fired after it came to be there .. Along with what I suggested above work on testing compression and leak down test .. Then you will know more .. So far the signs are more positive then negative
If you don't have a radiator psi checker any radiator shop will put one on and pump it up for nothing, just takes a few minutes to see for sure if it holds psi. If it leaks slow and your sure it's a head gasket, try some sealer in the system first before tearing into it & maybe a lighter pound rad cap.

You have water or coolant getting in the oil. Water is heavier, if you pour a quart of water or even coolant .... into the engine oil it will appear milky when stirred, but if allowed to set, the water or coolant will go to the bottom and oil to the top.
Head gasket or block / head crack or a hole behind the water pump are my guesses.
