i cant decide on which to get. which would you go with and why. and where would you recommend i purchase it i don't want junk thanks.
I would recommend 1/8th inch thick MIP (moulded industrial plastic) from LMC truck. It won't stain or hold moisture like carpet and when you get it muddy you can just spray it off.
Well, I put carpet in my truck last summer and I regret it for the reasons listed above. It's already pretty dirty, despite my best efforts to keep it clean. In the winter, it's hard to keep dry with snow on your boots (not to mention if you have passengers who just jump in without at least trying to clap the snow off their feet)
I guess it's too late, but I suggest the carpet. You can add mats to it, like you should, if you want to keep boot moisture out of there and what DOES get under will dry up and not harm things, if your floor is corrosion protected with just about anything.
Vinyl, on the other hand, will keep moisture trapped for much longer, especially if you rinse things out with a hose.
