Haha they do look good crewcabber, & diesel_brad I don't like cummins or ih. I work on cat's for a living, the shop I work at, we just got done doing a full custom cat c-15 8.3l for a customer's logging rig, we dyno'd it at 1,271 hp & 3,186 lb ft of torque, it was running a fully custom twin turbo setup, that thing was a bad mother trucker man!
With that kind of power and torque, I would tend to think that you need to do a medium duty frame just to handle the engine.
Ok..... Well, how do we put it easier to understand...
An Fsuperduty rear won't fit under the back because the frame is too wide.
An Fsuperduty doesn't have a parking brake, and requires a 4x4 trans with a somewhat hard to find adaptor for the drum parking brake
Wheels are hard to find and use the same 16" tires you currently have, so you'll still be limited to the max of the tires
They don't make a 4x4 Fsuperduty front axle, but marmon Herrington and another aftermarket company made some kits, but are pretty rare.
You're better off doing the rsk 4x4 conversion and sticking with 8 bolt wheels, then register your truck heavy to be legal.

On top of a Large body lift and doghouse to be cut into the cab to accommodate the engine and trans
Just picked up this trailer today, this is going to haul all my camping/hunting/fishing gear, I'm going to fully enclose it with 1/4" diamond plate steel, it will have access doors on both sides & the back, as well as a portable welder & some other things
1/4" diamond plate? A bit excessive don't you think? 1/8 would be MORE than enough since that is what the rest of the trailer is made from if not thinner
Sorry I meant 1/8th lol my phone auto-corrected it from a previous text convo. Anyways yeah it's gonna be a project in the midst of a couple others, I actually just acquired an Obs 4wd parts truck today, the cab & front clip was damaged but the chassis & drivetrain are still good, it has a 7.3 powerstroke where as mine is an idi, I'll post some pics of it
I was thinking about using it, still not 100% sure. The interior of the wrecked truck is grey and mine is horrible red color that I absolutely hate haha, but I'm gonna forsure line-x the floor of my truck, so I may just throw two black vinyl benches in it & call it done, I will keep you in mind & pm you when I decide though

That didn't take long for the insurance to sell that truck. That was at my local repair shop last week. She hit a tree then rolled it. A shame , it WAS a pretty clean truck. She hit SO hard it actually knocked the t-case OUT of the truck. And I would bet bent the front axle too
What did you end up paying for it? I hope not more than $1000
