No, not really. The F250/F350 uses a shackle that goes INTO the boxed frame rail.
Good luck doing that with the crumple zone there
Maybe I should have clarified: if you do an SAS and put the shackles at the rear of the front springs, and not the terrible factory design, it is very similar to doing an SAS on a bronco.
2 questions guys! I still want to convert to 4wd & I will be, but I was wondering if anyone had any info on turning it into an F-450, you know heavier duty rear suspension, front suspension, 10-lug conversion, all that good stuff, any info will help. & how do I post pics of my truck on here
Here's a pic from today, I put new slightly larger tires on it, the tool box in the bed, I traded a guy my chrome 5-hole rims for the current ones, took of the round mirrors off the side mirrors, sold the ugly white steps for some chrome ones, it also has a RiffRaff Diesel 6637 intake, Strictly Diesel crossover, Flo Pro stainless 4" exhaust, Autometer Phantom 2 gauges, Tru-Cool tranny cooler, & Energy Suspension Body Mounts, more to come is a 4wd solid front axle conversion, possible F-450 conversion, with the 10-lug wheels & all, led taillights, marker lights, running lights, cab clearance lights, hid headlights, a homemade mesh grille, a road armor or ranch hand front bumper, complete with a 12,000 pound warn winch & a **** ton of driving/spotlights on the front bumper, some spotlights on the wiper cowl, a leer shell, a full length roof rack the goes over the bed & cab roof, with running lights & spotlights all the way around, with the shovel, jack, 2 full size spares, extra fuel, tool box, etc, cb radio with two 8' whip antenna's, rock sliders steps, ranch hand rear bumper, drop hitch with a class 5 receiver, a full length & full width truck vault in the bed

Diesel_Brad WHY would you even consider going to a 10 bolt?!?!?
You would gain NOTHING out of it other than very difficult parts availability
I want to go 10 bolt because I haul a lot, over 24,000 lbs a lot, & my boat nearly every day in the summer, plus I want to run a certain type of rim that only comes in 10 lug.
& Briansshop yes I do need to get busy, luckily I'm a diesel mechanic by trade & I have 24/7 access to a badass shop lol
& I am also thinking about eventually swapping the 7.3l with a caterpillar engine, if, emphasis on the if, the 7.3 ever dies. It currently has 62,331 miles on it, it's not even broken in yet!
10 lug wheels would look awesome. I don't know how hard the parts are to come by but if you have the cash I say do it. I looked at them for a 2003 Chevy HD 2500 crew 4th I had a 12 10 lift and that was the only thing I never got around to doing.
The 10 lug wheels would give you nor more weight accruing capacity.
I just went thru all this when I made my truck a dually.
Just a FYI, the tires are a big limiting factor. The F-superduty still use 235/85/16s same thing that you have on there now.
Also a F-superdut has a GVW of 15k, you truck has a GVW of 10k. The BOTH have a GCVW of 20k
Another Cat engine swap?!? Again, WHY? If you want power with reliability go with either a Cummins or IH DT360. Both will make in excess of 500hp reliably and VERY simply, without having to put a 4" body lift in and dog housing the firewall
Haha they do look good crewcabber, & diesel_brad I don't like cummins or ih. I work on cat's for a living, the shop I work at, we just got done doing a full custom cat c-15 8.3l for a customer's logging rig, we dyno'd it at 1,271 hp & 3,186 lb ft of torque, it was running a fully custom twin turbo setup, that thing was a bad mother trucker man!
