Learning to drive, my son managed to back the Expy into a tree last Friday - didn't check that all doors were closed, backing up in a parking spot at about 2MPH, but it still did damage to the rear door, which hit the tree at the top and seems to now be bent out of proportion. The window juts out of the frame about a centimeter at the top near the front and the doorframe doesn't quite sit right at the back, also out of alignment by about a centimeter.
Assuming there's no easy way to repair the shell, can you recommend any places to buy replacements cheaply? I've tried eBay already.
(It's a white 01 XLT, btw.)
Thanks in advance - and sorry for putting you through the gory details of the story. :P
A brand new door shell can be purchased for about $ 500.00. Try ford parts online.com. I don't know if you can specify a particular color when ordering. A salvage yard may be the cheapest source though.
