Actually if its big enough, that might look really good. I like the mock up.

It's actually bolted on loosely in that pic but I'd like to move it up another 1/2 or so. It fits against the body really well but I might do some trimming to make it look perfect.
It's maybe an inch shorter per side than the stocker, not enough to look out of place. Who knew Heeps were so wide?

Dang didn't relize Jeeps were that wide. Didn't Ford once own shares in Jeep?

Not enough to mean anything I think. AMC owned Jeep before Chrysler bought it in the late 80s.

I snap a pic once I get the bolts in. I made the brackets out of 1/8" this time to see if it would work but I'll likely redo them in 1/4".

Just a bit higher or maybe a filler piece to close the gap to the grill. How much was the JK bumper?

Yeah I need to move it up a hair. Also that filler panel isn't screwed on so it's hanging low and the lower grill bezel is missing, it all adds up to a lot of gaps.
The bumper was free, the Jeep guys don't want them.

What year an model jeep did it come off of? I wonder if they make any beefier ones with the same measurements.

07-13 Wangler I'm told. Most of the aftermarket ones I'm seeing aren't as wide.

Ford built Jeeps in WW II, under license from ******, IIRC.
