We have a 2004 Escape Limited with a little over 221k on the odometer with a tow package and nice new (as of last fall) set of General Grabber A/Ts (they're gangbusters in the snow, even with the weak 4wd system). She only does some light towing here and there with trips to the dump with an open utility trailer, but I've town a U-Haul from Seattle to DC and could barely tell it was there most of the time. We've kept up with maintenance pretty well and been pretty lucky in that it's only ever had 2 legitimate issues, an early MAF problem and an alternator that bit the dust a couple of years ago (that alternator replacement was a nightmare...).
As the car really gets up there in mileage (we'd like to get 300k out of it), I figured it'd be a good idea to become a little more active here (as opposed to just reading) for help with some of its issues...I'll have a "please help me" thread up in a bit about my most recent P0403...that wasn't fixed by a new EGR solenoid...I started posting on Escape-City too, but I figured I'd hedge my bets and jump on here too.
