Your EGT temp is "cool" relatively speaking. I pull a 12.5K fifth wheel and have a stock exhaust. I will occasionally touch 1200F. I suppose if I do the straight back exhaust I would drop temperatures as well. But I have not had the desire as of yet to do so. Running and Edge insight Attitude with Juice module. Eric
I read that 1300 deg. is a killer for the 6.0 . Why is 1300 the cut back temp. ?
I'm sorry, but that's BS. They withstand heat as well as any diesel out there. Mine has seen 16-1700 more times than I care to count with no damage. Granted that's not sustained temps, but still.........

Dont be sorry ! Thats good news. Im going to colorado from durango to leadvill in july so i was concerned about egt pullin those grades.
