Inside door mechanisms
What are the differences? I have a '97 F250HD (gvw8800) and it apparently has a different mechanism than the lighter F250. Are they interchangeable? Mine is worn out and I need a replacement. Ford has the <8500 part, but mine is "obsolete".

What are you asking for, the door lock remote controls...that the inside door handles attach to?
1997: Parts catalog shows two different pics: F150 & F250 "Light Duty" under 8,500 lbs GVWR / F250 over 8,500 lbs GVWR & F350.
F150 all new in 1997. 1997/98 F250 "Light Duty" uses the same cab, 'droopy snout' front end as F150.
1997 F250 H/D & F350 same as 1992/96 F150/350 & Bronco.
I'd post the pics, but my 1990/2001 truck catalog is on microfiche.
