i am wanting to install a weber carb to a 86 f150 4x4 with 300 six and am wondering what to do with the computer and also what size weber to use for economy rather than performance 32x36 vs 38 ?? this is a calif truck and has the feedback carb with a bunch of wires coming out of it . will this confuse the computer and not allow the timing or other things to be correct ?? thanks for any help Frank

I am not a wiz with the computers on these trucks, so here is an option that I myself have used. Swap out the existing computer controlled distributor, and replace it with one out of an earlier 80's truck. Then install the egnition modual from the same truck. There you go, the computer has been eliminated from the equation.
