I'm not sure you can. My owner's manual for my '91 shows daytime driving lights to be on Canadian models. I'm guessing some type of law. Fuse diagram shows the location but it is tied in with exterior lamps, lo warning, trip comp, glove box, dome cargo, underhood lamp. Sorry I have no way to help you out.
Yeh its the law up here! For safety. You can't just unplug them. Like 68torino mentioned about everything else being tied into the lights and the black daytime running light box is right in the middle of it. the box itself, on my'94, is right next to the battery on the fender wall. I tell you too, that box gets awfull hot when it goes haywire and stays on 24hours a day too! I had to replace mine then, and leaving it unplugged for the time being made my lights screwy.
I belive he wants to turn off the DTRL off when he might be at the drive- in (Do they still have them???). Usually when you are in park and pull up on the handbrake they go out. If not there is a small switch in the hand brake assembly that sticks. you can remove and clean to make it work. A quick check to see if this switch is the problem is to pull the e brake on and see if the brake light on the dash comes on, no light means switch stuck.
Hope this helps as had to replace 2-3 already.
On most 90+ veh power is constent. If you unplug them, power to that curret will screw up. Your best bet would to put a switch to shut them off. I seen one on a Ex.
I unplugged mine about a year ago....had a couple of oddball lighting occurences the same week (Lights would blink on and off....etc), but then it stopped after that, and has worked fine ever since....
