Hello just wanted to know were else can I find the vin# on a 1974 ford f100

 

The metal warranty plate on the driver's door, the federal cert sticker on the driver's door jamb, occasionally there is a metal "buck" tag attached to the firewall with a sheetmetal screw, and it's also on the top right (passenger) side frame rail in two places. The visible frame VIN is in the engine compartment. It can be anywhere between the radiator support and firewall but most commonly it's stamped about inline with the alternator. The hidden VIN Is also on the top right frame rail, under the cab usually about 8-10" behind the front cab mount.
The VIN's that are stamped on the frame can be difficult to find/read. Sometimes they are stamped very lightly or in a few cases, not stamped a all.
