My clutch is going bad on my 7.3 IDI ZF5. I'd like to get your opinions on whether or not its worth it to replace my stock DMF with a Luk SMF kit. I dont want to have to rebuild the transmission from the extra strain put on it through the SMF, but I also don't mind some gear roll noise if that's the extent of the negative effects.
From what it looks like I'll be spending about the same for either the Luk kit or a new DMF. But having the "reliability" of a longer lasting clutch would be nice
Oops, I thought the diesel ZF5s had the internal slaves.
