I have a 2003 F-250 diesel that does not have any power. It started when I had to slow down for a car in front of me, and when I stepped on the gas pedal, there was no power and I was losing speed. I ended up going another mile and a half before the truck just died on me. I looked at the fuel pump and it seems to be working. I also put it on a computer and no codes showed up. When I finally got it started and stepped on the gas, the RPM's dropped. I also posted this in Super-Duty & Heavy-Duty forum. I need help ASAP. Thanks for any info. <!-- / message -->

You are gonna need gauges that read live data to figure this out, like scan gauge II or one of the smartphone apps like dashboss for IOS devices or torque pro for android.
It did not flash. It went out like normal. I cleaned the EGR valve and that wasn't it. It's very hard to start. I will crank it over and then about 15-20 secs. later it just barely starts. When I do get it to start and press on the gas to the floor, it feels like it's bogging down and the RPMs only go up to 950.

FireBaller, did you figure out the problem?
My truck has been parked in my driveway since I experienced a similar situation: On my way to work I slowed down at a yield sign, then when I got on the accelerator it bogged down and I just barely got it a few miles down the road to work. That evening when I tried to drive it home, I barely got out of the parking lot when it died on the side of the road. I parked it over night in another parking lot. The next day I got it to start and barely run for about ten minutes. But there was barely even enough power to pull into the adjacent parking space. Since my wife works from home, I've been driving her car to work every since.
I'm anxious to get a clue how to get my truck back on the road.
is there any dark or black smoke along with a unburned fuel smell?
I don't recall any. When it happened I'd just pulled in amongst established traffic flow and suddenly couldn't keep up, so I was mostly focused on trying to get out of other drivers' way.
likes Mustangs said you gotta get some gauges you should be able to get it done with scan gauge 2, it's about $159.00 at autozone.
I've had a SG2 connected for a couple years, watching my oil-coolant difference. Just don't know exactly what to look for to diagnose this particular problem.
I've been saving up with the intention to find a 6.0 expert to open up my engine and do all the stuff to make it right. But I wasn't expecting my truck to die before I could get it "bulletproofed". So frustrating.
