95 psd no start

I recently purchased a 1995 f250 psd. At the time I got it the truck did not run and I was told I needed an Ipr... Upon my own diag I found the icp sensor broken off and I had little to no fuel pressure at the Schrader on the side of the fuel bowl. Now from my research I was under the impression that it would at least run without and icp, so I proceeded to remove the Ipr and found it to be severely clogged. I replaced it and cleaned the fuel bowl while I had it off and the truck started and ran great. ( had a code for icp ) well I ordered the icp and while waiting for it to come I decided to take the truck for a quick test drive around the block just to see how suspension, brakes, etc were. Well I made it about an 1/8 mile or so when it stalled and wouldn't start back, and hasn't ran since. If I let the truck set for 5-10 minutes and then crank it the engine will fire and then die and then just keep cranking and cranking. Any ideas on where to start? Bad fuel? Sorry for the lengthy post just wanting to give as much info as possible as this is my first diesel build... I have a quite a bit of experience in the gas world but I'm quickly seeing diesels are another animal. Thanks for the help

Are you getting a check engine light? Have you checked for any codes? What is the fuel pressure? It should be at least 20lbs. WHILE CRANKING. These trucks have a mechanical fuel pump, so you won't see pressure if you check it with out cranking. If the pressure is good, I'd try a Cam position sensor, it is located at the 10 oclock position by the crank pully on the front of the motor.

Haven't got my hands on a fuel pressure gauge yet to get actual readings but im only getting a small stream coming out of the Schrader while cranking.... And according to my hand scanner no codes are stored. I also have a known good cam sensor installed

Are you getting code P111? In other words, if your getting nothing then the code reader you have is not communicating with the PCM.

These IPR's can't be rebuilt, cleaned yes but not rebuilt. Buy a new one!

Oil level looked good to me right at the max mark maybe a little above. Could it be over filled with oil? What would this affect?

A little over isn't going to hurt anything.

Ok so just on a whim I bought a brand new camshaft sensor and put it in. The fired right up and idles pretty good for 1-5 minutes and then stalls...
