tow package wiring

I have a 87 bronco and trying to hook up brake controller.
It does have the tow package.Ihave heard that there are wires for the controller under the dash.I have one plug that makes me think it's the one i need. It's a black round plug with 3 wires.
RED,blue with black ,and red with green. Are these the ones i need?have already ran my wires to the 7pin connector. But trying to see if i have to run a seperate hot wire for the brakes and battery or if I can just splice into the black connector.

thanks for any help.

I'm not sure if '87 came prewired for a brake controller, but it wasn't until '91 that they came prewired to include the red (input signal) wire to the controller from the stoplamp switch.

Since you already have everything wired up but the 12v power for the controller, I would recommend running a new, heavy wire from the battery. That way you can connect a 15 or 20 amp circuit breaker into the line supplying power to the controller.

I would also recommend not grounding the controller underneath the dash, but instead run the ground directly back the negative post on the battery or at least to a good ground on the frame.
