Has anyone had any problems with these panels? I recently purchased a set from Northern Classic and they do not fit. The contour of the new panels will not line up where I removed the rotted sections. If anyone knows where I can get some panels that will fit or tell me how to correct this problem I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks bukiguy
It's not uncommon for patch panels to need some measure of adjustment (ie; cutting, hacking, reforming/welding) some are better than others. If you think you could benefit from some good original pieces, send me a PM.

In my experience the front lower panels from Northern Classic Truck are far better than the off-shore parts from other suppliers. How far off are the one you have?
Below are pictures of panels that I got from DC. There was no way to make them fit as the contours were washed out. DC was very nice and took them back even though I had cut one.
I then got good ones from Northern Classic Truck. See how much better the fit is in the last picture.
The areas noted are common problems when the stamping dies are not maintained. If yours are this bad I would get with Northern Classic Truck and tell them your problem. Maybe they can rehab their dies and get you a good set? Hopefully they haven't started buying off-shore parts.
I got mine from Classic Haulers. I ended up having to pie-cut it to make the contour fit correctly. Basically I made a straight cut, then overlapped the cut until it was the correct shape. I marked the overlap, cut the excess, and welded up the cut line. It fit fine after that. You can see the cut in the last pic on the upper left in the bevel.

It looks like you have sharp, crisp character lines. Compare that to the washed out panel in pictures 1 & 2 in post #3.
The ones i got from classic haulers werent that great either. Luckily i didnt have to use a whole lot of one of them so it wasnt a big deal. The other one took hammering and reforming to get it to line up right.. That area is covered up by the fender anyway, so i didnt really worry about it too much.
