Swap to power window/locks??
I was just thinking of raiding a wrecked truck at a junkyard to get the parts I need. I also need to know what wiring is involved. It seems that the existing harness that is behind the kick panels might allow "plug and play", but part of me knows better.
So, anyone ever try it??
I do belive the hanesses are in the kicks if not it is basic five wire reversing polarity.

According to my Haynes, there are a couple of modules involced in the locks and maybe the windows too. Do you know where those are located?? Maybe they're part of the switch??
What are the parts costing you?? I was just thinking about buying 2 complete doors...

I think you need to take off your driver's side interior door panel and find out whether the wire harness connectors already exist for the auto locks and windows. If you read through the following thread it not only has a door panel removal process but at the end of it I also posted a couple of pictures of what my passenger side door switches and connections look like. Hope it helps.
Ranger Door Panel Removal
What I would really like to see is the pigtail on your truck that is attached to the wires that come out of the door. I have followed the wires that come through the black hose and into the cab and I think there are only about 3 on my truck.
If I remember right...there are about 5-10 on the pigtail that is on the dash/firewall side of that connection, but my wiring going into my door only uses 3, I think.
Could you take a pic of that connection?? Do you understand what exactly I am referring to?? Pull a kick panel and take a look. I can send a pic of what I am talking about if this makes no sense...
