I have a 2012 F-350 4x4 with the 6.7 powerstroke and trying to squeeze more power/mpg's out of it. I've installed a Banks CAI and DPF back exhaust and run the Banks hand-held programmer. I miss the sound of the turbo and know that that giant filter is hurting my power output and mpg's. My question is to dpf delete or not to dpf delete? If yes or no, please explain why.
Thanks for the responses!
running the Automind hand-held programmer. Thought about switching to the Automind flash programmer with the IQ, but still messing around. I live in Michigan and as far as I know, they don't test emissions.
I appreciate the input! To be truthful, I'm torn about keeping my truck clean tuned - I know there's a lot of buzz regarding dpf delete now that the EPA is coming down on aftermarket companies. Ever run water - methanol? I hear it's a great way to increase everything and keep the emissions. I've even heard that it improves emissions by cleaning the filter.
You wont get huge mpg gains, maybe 1-2, straight piped on the highway I get just over 2 extra mpg(highest hp setting as well) Truck sounds awesome though
