Will the zf work?

Well I think I found a good zf for my truck. It looks like it should work fine.

It is in a 88 F??? (Duelly) 2WD with 460Efi
SN# 2FDLF47G1JCB03617

Stuff on door: WB: 161 TYPE GVW: F476 BODY: LB8 TRANZ: Z AXLE: 72

Trans S# 8032319
Ford Part # E8Ta-7003-aka
Build date 03/04/88.

It has what I think is the parking brake bolted on the end of the tranny Not shure though, the bugs where chewing me so I hade to be quick!

Can anybody tell me if I can use this zf behind my 460 in a 81 F250 4WD BW-1345 Tcase.

if it's 2x you'll need to get the 4x4 output housing and output shaft, i'd keep looking unless you wouldn't mind running a divorced tcase

It looks to me that this park brake assy will unbolt and my t-case will bolt up in its place. I don't know if the shaft is the same that is why I posted.
I will try to get a pic of the unit after work tomorrow.

I have the part# for this,

ZF Parts List# 6051 001 002
Brake 9X3 IN
Trans #8011998

There was more but the mosquitoes where horrid!

Sounds like you found youself a F450 or FSuperduty with a driveline brake.
The brake will unbolt and your transfer case will bolt right up in it's place.
