There are stacks, and then..........

There are things like this, sighted on I-5 in Seatac today:

Yes, that comes out through the front fender, and yes it is teed into the vertical pipe.

Amazing that someone would go to the trouble of cutting through the fender, then do such an obvious redneck hackjob of the exhaust. You know that thing's going to get screwed up in a parking lot sooner or later.

I don't care for the way it goes through the fender, but what I would like to see, is a stack kit that goes on the outside of the box from underneath, instead of through the box.

I'm actually planning on putting a stack on my Courier, but a little different. I want to notch the front corner of the bed and run the stack up there, but I also want to put a military style canvas top on it so it may just get the stack up the outside. It'll have a snorkel too so it will actually be for a reason other than looks.
Although, this Dodge does have a stack and a cap-

Yup. Woman driving it too. I saw her smoking it up the hill, so when she pulled into the station I figured it was a good time to fuel up too.

I actually like the idea, as I like caps and my main objection to stacks is that you have to cut a hole in the bed to install one. But I wonder, wouldn't the stack and/or cap get damaged over time, with all the rubbing between the box/stack/cap? Seems like every time you get off-camber things are going to flex and rub.

I'm a pretty big fan of Stacks, but I believe I would pass on that one...

I imagine that if you had a flex pipe under the cab and mounted the stack to the bed the relation of the stack to the cap would be pretty constant.

if the stack is bolted to the bed it would not move. or move the same as the cap, so there would not be any rubbing/interference with the cap.

Not a fan....

While I like to think of myself as pretty open to peoples ideas - I think this looks both dangerous and ridiculous..
