That looks sick! haha Finally, someone else with the same lights as me. They definitely look good.
I love em. Especially with the grill paint idea that I found. Although, I don't know how they would look on other colored trucks. Black works, and white would probably as well.
I've got mine wired in to switched power, so they are Daytime running lights. I'm running a 6k HID kit in them.
I like to use the Halos at night even in the pitch black because they're so damn bright. I even passed by a cop with just them on and they didn't even care. Was wanting to put HIDs in but I actually kind of like the way the Halogens look instead. Plus, other people tend not to like how bright they are in my area..
I really like how your grill looks with the silver outlining it. Mine's just all black but I might just do what you have.
Definitely stay away from anything hotter than 6k. 6K is white white, any hotter and you actually start loosing illumination, all you gain by going hotter is a different color that wont light your way any more than the 6K. Booth the HIDs and the LEDs I am using,I made sure were no hotter and like I said they are almost identical. I had the Plasmas years ago, dangerous to say the least, the wife could no see with them, looked cool at the time. I later change to the Silverstars that was better lighting. Since then all our newcat have come with HIDs and I just took it for granted as I had gotten use to their brightness. That changed again when I got the Bronco and now the F-250. I will never go back.
I did and they didn't look right. That is why I went thru all the trouble of swapping my rec headlights to round. Looks better IMHO.Hard to get the 78-79 only to retrofit as they have specific substructures, Lucky someone on here wanted to do the opposite but was in the same boat. It may suit you though, they are cheap enough to try.
Ted not to hijack this thread, but a couple of?'s on the blue truck you sold. The 250 you converted over, the d60 reverse cut what year and what was it off off, looks like a 78-79 with 76-77 inverted Y steering. This is the same route I was thinking of going if I do the 4wd conversion on mine. I would do over the knuckle instead to get up there and not need a dropped pitman arm. Can you give me a run down on it or is there a build thread somewhere, where I can see it in all it's glory. I am doing a 95 Mustang fuilie 5.0 if anything, and really want something along the lines of a d20 hooked to a AOD 4spd auto for drivability. I just do not want the divorced tC, + I am more versed on the d20's. Any input would be appreciated... Thanks...Mo

I'm with him on this. I don't particularly like the look, but it could work on some trucks. Almost did it with the 79, but I parted it out before I could.
