Vibration above 60 mph

Ok guys I need some help. I have a vibration as stated in title. I have new rims and tires and have bought some new wheel bearings that I will install tomorrow. I do have a inner tie rod with some play in it but not enough to cause the problem I am having. I also do have a little play in the king pins but from what I have read that will not cause a vibration in the front end. My cabs mounts are toast but not sure if that would cause the problem I am having. Is there something else I am missing? Maybe the bushings in the radius arms or ibeams? My u joints seems to be good and no slack in them and the bushing in the driveshaft appears to be in tact as well. I feel the vibration in the steering wheel as well as can visualize the shaking in the hood.

Geez try to go after the worse of the stuff you listed on your posted.
Most of the time it's a little bit of everything that causes the problems.

Replacing the tie rod ends & king pins and you'll need to have a alignment rechecked.
Check the steering rag joint also it may need replacing also.
And it could be your tires causing your high speed vibrations

I have considered the tires but there is no cupping or anything seeing as they have maybe 50 miles on them since I have gotten them but anything is possible. I will swap the front for the rear and see if that makes a difference but first will change the tie rod then drive it so I can eliminate things as they are repaired. I read your post on someone elses thread about the 3 screws and the drums. I will be checking that tomorrow as well. I am dreading the king pin removal cause of the horror stories I have read on this site. I have checked the rag joint when I first purchased it and did not notice any slack in it.

Aw yes the 3 screws. But the 3 screws were on the 4wd front drums only.
These 3 screws only if not seated the heads could interfered only with after market wheels form pulling up to the drum when the lug bolts were tighten up.

The 2wd trucks should not have those screws up front. Just the one spindle nut
holding it on.

It could be as simple as a wheel weight popped off. I would take it back and have the balance double checked. It is also possible to get a bad belt in a new tire, just like you can get a new bad part.

I found on the pass side a piece of the outer edge of the drum is broken off. Its not huge but I wonder if that little bit of lost weight would cause the vibration.....

Ok, inner tie rod replaced and waiting on drums to get to the parts house. Did a little inspecting and found that the pass side I beam bushing looks a little worn for wear. From what I can tell the bushing is coming apart.

You may need to change out the radius rod arm end bushing also.

Some guys cut those rivets off when changes them. Makes it easier and replace with bolts.
Ford got smart in the 80's and bolted them on.

Are you referring to the rivets where the shocks are bolted on?

If you have lost a chunk of cast iron at the outer edge of the drum you almost certainly have found the source of the vibration. Fix that and go from there.
All the other stuff will accentuate the vibration, not cause it.

I hope you are right sir.....my next problem is that no one can seem to find these drums. The ones I was waiting on were in fact rear drums and all their computers show are the same type. I hate having to do other peoples jobs for tham lol. Luckily I hadnt torn everything apart already anticipating the parts being right. Looks like it will probably be a couple days till this gets done.

Wait.....are these 2 piece drums??? Does the hub come separate from the drum???

Report back and let us know what happened to the vibration after you replaced that disaster.

But now I have another problem....all I replaced is the inner tie rod and the drum and now my wheels are all jacked up. I even drove it down the street to see if it would clear up but no....

What the hell happened? I checked to see how much play was in the i beam bushing while I had it up on jack stand but damn!!!! Did I possibly move it to a much more worn spot? There is no way I can drive it now. UGH!!!
