My 2000 Limited has dual heated seats, no power controls to passenger. No automatic climate controls.
I happen to agree with Brent on this one. I would go for the 2000, because for the OP, there is no functional difference in the two trucks. Either will do what he needs and the mileage difference is in no way worth the extra $$$.

Thanks for the advice everyone had put fourth. I'm scheduled to drive them both on Thursday and as it looks as long as the 2000 drives and shifts good that is the way we will go.
I'm assuming the ball joints are a common issue like the super duty's? Is their anything specific I should look at?

Expect to put new ball joints in it....but ask about them. Look for rust, that is the biggy.
I wish I could have gotten the fancy controls on the steering wheel and better AC but I drove the newer one with leather seats and then I drove a 2000 with fabric seats, no radio/ac controls on steering wheel but it drove better and I didn't slide around on the cracked leather seats like the newer one. I paid 7k with tax so I wasn't looking for a fancy interior either because it's mostly for camping/beach truck. Been very happy so far with my purchase. I think my ball joints are bad, the power steering is a very slow drip but my driveway still looks not stained much. I was going to fix stuff but nothings broken yet. The rear back break gets stuck sometimes and heats up and smells like burnt rubber, then it works fine the next time. Good luck!
Well after test driving 5 excursions today we made a choice on an 04 Eddie Bauer, 6.0 powerstroke. For $11,500
It has a few issues but considering it was 12k less than any other diesel ex I can deal.
1. Fog lights don't work
2. Over head display don't work
3. CD 6 doesn't eject c d's
4. Needs passenger mirror (light & housing is broken
5. Needs lift struts for rear glass
6. One tail light lens is cracked
Now I get to learn about having a 6.0 and a torque shift.
Coolant is clean
This is my first time driving a 6.0 and wow is big brute will move.
