I went and bought a tachometer for diagnostic purposed. Confirmed there was no tach signal. So I pulled apart and retested bunch of connectors to see if wiggling or moving them would bring stuff back to life. When I removed and reconnected the crank sensor connector, it started up and ran, but had an intermittent misfire. You could just hear an occasional pop in the exhaust, and the engine would stumble a moment. When and bought a new fuel injector pigtail, soldered it in place of the old one, and so far everything seems good. So it was a bad connector.
