I know people that have hit deer on multiple occasions with those installed still claim they work. I want to slap them
in the 70's and maybe early 80's they might have helped. SO much aerodynamics work has been done since then its unlikely. 5th wheels used to be this big flat panel, nowadays they are smooth fiberglass with all kinds of curves.
now, my enclosed car hauler front is like a sail, and these deflectors would be SO far away to be useless there too. thought about adding a nosecone, but they want a couple arms and legs for them.. don't tow it that much now
How many wind deflectors do you see on pickups. This should tell you how affective they are. If they worked there would be lots of them in use. As mentioned earlier, trailer manufactures have done lots to make them more aerodynamic.
With that length, who cares about deflecting the wind from the front end - that's the small profile - I'd hate to haul that in 50 mph side wind, talk about the tail wagging the dog!!
Ok?? where do I go for window rain shields? Yea, the type you can ftop the window and inch without rain coming in...and yea!! Nice trailer. What's in that? A 53' trailer?
Thank you
