Help identify this front axle

Help identify this front axle

I went to the junkyard today and found this crewcab that looks to have a Dana 60 front. Its definitely a solid axle. Axle code is 4.10 limited slip. The axle could be had for $350. Thinking about getting it if that's what it is. Is it a dana 60? What are they worth? Thanks for any help.

That's a Dana 60. They go for about $800-$1000 on CL here.

to be more precise, that is a ball joint Dana 60.
not quite as popular and in demand as a king pin D60, but still a good axle, and for $350 it is a very good deal if complete.

if you get it, get everything attached to it too.
axle, springs, all steering linkage, pitman arm, track bar, and track bar bracket off the frame.

If I decide to get it, I would want to get everything to mount it including shock mounts and frame mounts along with everything previously mentioned. It would likely end up under an F150 or Bronco. Probably wont be able to get everything for $350 though.

Probably get it all for $500 though, and the axle itself could get you back more than that! $500-$600 for everything would be about right if they want $350 for just the axle...

That is a Dana 60 for sure.
A 92-94 ball joint pin on caliper style one

As for anything else, it is a crap shoot

You would need to pull the diff cover to find out what gears are in it.

As for putting it in a F150, they is going to be far from a bolt in. F150s have no provisions for the leaf springs. And your F150 has an accordion stlyle frame hones which will need to be cut off and or welded solid

But if you buy the axle. MAKE SURE you get the track bar mount, track bar, drivers side u-bolt plate and F350 pitman arm. None of those items are available new anymore

Also you will want the missing Cardian front drive shaft . And the t-case front yoke too
