After working on this all day(just flushed with distilled water)used cat elc.and went for a drive.i noticed my temps went up a little.88 degrees here today and 20 mile trip on the interstate, ect was around 195 ,eot was 198 to 199 that's about 3 to 4 degrees more than before the flush.does these numbers look ok or am I overthinking.
Check the cold soak temps between ECT and EOT before you really consider your delta to make sure nothing get into the sending unit. ECT being high isn't typically indicative of oil cooler issues so you're more than likely fine, the split is a-ok.
After coolant flush and new thermostat my ECT has been 2-4 deg higher.
But it usually ran at about 188-190 and from what I've read, running a bit hotter is better for the engine.
All is good. It is possible you still have air in the system. But them temps are fine. Next time you run it turn on your heater on high and it will get all the air out if there if there is any.
