I thought it would be nice if we had a thread where we could post parts we need or have found in local junkyards. I know that I always have some part that I am watching for, but it is hard to cover all the junkyards in the area.
So for instance someone might post: Keep your eyes out for a bench seat from a 1994 extended cab.
And the next time I go to the junkyard, I can watch for this part.
You could also post interesting parts you have found: I saw a mint condition bumpside tailgate for sale in Wiggins today.
It could also work for private parts trucks as well. For instance, I know of a guy in Pass Christian parting out a 1976 F150 2WD.
I'll start it off. I haven't found any dentside (1973-1979) trucks in junkyards on the coast. Let me know if you see any of these trucks being parted out.

I've seen a couple at Lamar Auto Salvage in Oloh, that's been awhile back though.
Someone please keep their eyes out for a nice glove box liner, headlight buckets, and door panels for a 73-79 F-series for me. I'm having trouble finding these old trucks on the coast and would love to get my hands on them!

Reason: Left a few words out..
I'm looking for a "good" tailgate for my 78.
Please call Robert
Got one from David in Ocean Springs. THANKS ! David and that's a nice 71 ford your driving.
You are very welcome and thanks. I am actually selling her now if you know of anyone looking for one. I have a ad listed here in the marketplace for it.
About 10 years ago, I came across a good many dents when I was looking for parts for a 37 Ford I was building at the time. Most of the places were mechanic shops or just random properties with a bunch of cars. I ended up with some good pieces, but not everyone was so friendly. Now that I actually want to look for parts, most of the places around here are pretty bare. The "real" yards don't have much stuff that old.
I can't say that I want to start knocking on doors again.
I'm looking for:
Front bumper
Windshield
Set of side mirrors
Glove box
Tail light lense
Several other odds and ends
I plan on going to the PAP on I-55 S next Friday. Is this the one others are referring to?
I was mainly looking for a 130 amp 3G alternator for my truck, but was hoping to see a dentside or two. In my experience, yards that organized don't have stuff that old.
