I think its time to replace the plugs on my 08 V10, with 62K. The engine build date is 110907 and I have the brown coil boots. With this info. I should have the SP509 plugs in the engine.
My questions: Is the SP509 a 1 or 2 piece plug?
Those of you that have changed plugs in your truck are you still soaking a slightly loosened plug with carb cleaner?
Will any carb cleaner work, gumout etc. or should I get Fords?
Are you changing the coil boots when you change the plugs?
Are you using motorcraft or another brand of plug?
Hopefully plug breakage is not an issue.
Thanks for you help.
