Since the 300 is more of a high torque, low-rpm engine rather than a high rpm "rev-er" I suspect it's not a very good candidate. But it may look cool

I've seen it done in a drag Maverick. You need a low-rpm turbo like those found in Diesel engines and you will have to custom build the piping. You will need more oil flow, and new seals on everything to be safe.

With the right size turbo, I think it would be a torque monster!
Like RL250 said, I would look at Holset turbo's, they are great turbo's and relativly cheap compared to lots of others. I beilive they came on Cummings. Like a HX30, HX35, HX40, etc.

-You need a blow thru carb, or convert to efi.
-Also depending on the turbo, you need to tap into the oil system for the turbo.
-You need a exhaust manifold/header for the turbo.
- I would imagine you would need to adjust your timing for the boost.

My wife's ride is a twin-turbo'd diesel, so turbos are quite compatible with low RPM engines.

And Diesel engines are the best place to get a turbo for Ford's 300.
