31x10.50's generally fit with no rubbing at all. If you have aftermarket wheels that are wider than stock you can probably get a set of 32x11.50's on with only minor rubbing.
yo,
As Raven advised, w/8.5" wheels and Good Year AT/S 32x11.50's we had minor rubs @ driver's side bumper (we spaced it out 1/2" w/washers) and the valence (trimmed w/dremel or use a utility knife).
Pics in my Gallery/web site to see how they fit; we went to the wider tire/wheel combo only for over-the-sand runs at local beaches.
I run 33x9.5-15 BFG mud terrians on 8.5 wide wheel on my 78 stock bronco with no rubbing. those tires are the best for the snow and do ok in the mud if you can get to the bottom
