Fuel gauge waving

I installed a fuel cell on my 63 F100 to get the tank out of the cab. I used a Summit one with GM sender, and put an Autometer Fuel gauge in my dash. The problem is, the gauge reads out all of the sloshing movements of the gas in the tank. Come to a stop with a half tank it waves back and forth from full to empty, same on starts, etc. Is there a way I can electronically "slow down" the signal to get a steady reading like my stock one had??

The stock float was pretty much dead center, so it wasn't effected as much but fuel movement. Most of the 97-up trucks have this feature so a Ford dealer can probably come up with something for you. It delays the signal from the sender to keep the gauge steady. This is why if you leave the key on while adding fuel, the needle moves up really slow. Sometimes it may take 15 or 20 minutes to reach full if you do not turn the key off and back on after refueling.
I just do not know if this is a replaceable part or if it is done thru the computer.

There are damper modules available. Basically, these take the voltage coming from the sender, use it to heat a resistor, and send voltage to the gauge based on that reading.
