2012 tailgate camera connector issues

I have e 2012 F250 with a backup camera on the tailgate and monitor in the rear view mirror. I have to unplug the camera when removing the tailgate to put my cab over camper on. The connector locking tab breaks after a couple uses, it doesn't appear it's made for multiple uses. The dealer replaced the connector under warrantee, but after a couple uses it has also broken. I could do the same again as it's still under warranty, but it seems futile if it's only going to work for a couple tailgate removals
Is there any fix for the camera connector? An aftermarket part maybe?
I'm a newbie here, so I hope I've posted correctly
Thank you

I think what you need is like a quick disconnect. Not sure if something is even made for electrical.

I would investigate a local electrical shop for a solution.

this has not been talked about that I know of.
