Valve cover clearance
Do you have access to a "porta-power". It is always better to push, than to pull... with a porta power you can slowly move the metal where you want.
Robert
Kurt... the side emblems are for a '55. I'm guessing I've got the hotrod '55 hood on my '54. The grille emblem star is for the '54... but signifies a 6 cylinder engine, but, lurking in there is the manly 292 with the single T-bird valve cover and exhaust pipe carb. The hood emblem is probably correct but isn't as colorful as the Brazilian version.
I like Ozzie's suggestion. I'm checking my attach points for a little slack. I like the idea of pushing sheetmetal like Robert says. I like Kurt's backward engine. I like being an eFriend. Thanks guys. Himmelberg
A Porta Power consists of a hydraulic ram cylinder and many fittings that allow you to spread, jack, raise or do any number of things to metal. Some of the auto body shops use them and some of the local fire departments have one. Are you friends with a volunteer fireman?
Auto Zone may or may not have one for rent. Maybe your local rental center place may have one... Good luck
E-friends huh? I kind of like that..
Hot as the main strret of Hades here today!
